Part-Time Staff Educator-Spring 2007

Responsibilities:

Education Staff work with the Education Coordinator to plan and deliver educational programs to schools. Spring programming includes school field trips, April Vacation Camp, community events and week-long Farm School programs. Staff must be available to work mornings and afternoons, Monday through Friday. An occasional evening may be required with advance notice.

Qualifications:

• Comfortable working with groups of children in an outdoor setting
• An ability to work independently and design lesion plans
• An enthusiasm for sustainable agriculture and the environment
• A willingness to get dirty, hike, work with animals and in the garden
• A willingness to sing songs and act in skits
• Comfortable speaking in large groups
• Strong leadership skills
• Dependable, mature, and an excellent role model to children
  
  

Desired Skills:

• Background in Environmental Science, Agriculture, Education or related field
• Experience working with children
• First Aid/CPR Certifications
