The historic Mallett Barn provides the venue for our annual Harvest Dance, and evening of food and fun for grown ups. Get your tickets early, as a delicious dinner from Buck's Naked BBQ is limited and has sold out in past years. After dinner, enjoy a cash bar from Gritty's as the music and dancing gear up for the evening. The Harvest Dance is a wonderful way to enjoy the season, the Farm, and a night out with friends.

sean_mencher_8x10_publicity2This year, we are happy to announce that Sean Mencher and His Rhythm Kings will be providing the musical entertainment for the event. Sean Mencher has been touring the world for 25 years and puts on an A+ class act appropriate for all ages. Mencher and his Rhythm Kings blend the best of traditional American music including rock n' roll, western swing, bluegrass, jazz, blues and rockabilly – from Duke Ellington to Buddy Holly to Les Paul, Sean Mencher and his band keep the seats empty and the dance floor filled!

You can listen to some of Sean's songs at his myspace website at http://www.myspace.com/seanmencher

Of course, none of this would be possible without the support of our Corporate Sponsors.  Once again, our Lead Sponsor for this event is Norway Savings Bank.  Our Silver Sponsors are PretiFlaherty and Freeport-based Maine Course Hospitality Group.  Additionally, many local small businesses are sponsoring the event at our "Friend" level, these include New Beginnings Consignment Shop, AutoWerkes, Island Treaure Toys, The Fresh Batch, Petrillo's and Towne Condominiums to name a few. Our "In-kind Friends" include: Bow Street MarketClayton's Cafe and Freeport Café. Please thank our sponsors by giving them your support as well!harvest-dance-mallett-barn-inside

If you, or your business, are interested in sponsoring the event as well, please contact Melisa Walker at 865-6839.

Keep an eye out around town for posters advertising the event.   So mark the date on  your calendar, call your friends, get a babysitter and dust off your cowboy  hat...it's going to be a hootenanny of a good time!
