Junior Counselors PDF Print E-mail
Ages 15 to 17, Two Weeks Minimum
8:00 am - 3:00 pm, Volunteer Experience

Junior counselors are passionate, mature, and responsible young adults who would like to gain leadership experience working with children while both teaching and learning about the farm, woods, and ocean. They are each assigned to assist our camp counselors with a specific age group. JCs are an essential and valued part of our team, and in exchange for their efforts to help keep our programs safe and enjoyable for all campers, we provide the camp experience at no charge.

Individuals interested in applying for the Junior Counselor program must be at least 15 years of age by the start of camp, and willing to make a commitment of two weeks during the summer camp season. Junior Counselors are required to attend a full day training and orientation session in late June--special arrangements will be made for JC's who reside out of state, and will not yet be in Maine. Read the 2010 JC Handbook to learn more about JC opportunities and responsibilities.

We will post our JC Application soon.  If you have questions about applying, please call Eric Tadlock, Director of Education at (207) 865-4469x106 or email  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
